MEETING – HOV LANE on BELLEVUE WAY SE — May 10, 2018 6:30 PM
Bellevue’s Transportation Commission is planning to hold its regularly scheduled meeting on May 10 at Enatai Elementary School in the STEM Room. The meeting goes from 6:30-9:00 p.m. One of the agenda items is the Bellevue Way SE HOV Lane project.
Project staff managers will report to the Commission on the findings from the last round of public engagement (Open House was held April 5) and will describe the next steps as in when the project will go to the City Council. It does not appear there will be any action taken by the Commission at this time.
Public comment is at the beginning and end of the meeting.
Previous Information on the HOV Lane:
City staff recommended that the study of the proposed Bellevue Way SE Southbound HOV Lane be continued with the “narrow” section as the preferred option. The “narrow” section would consist of a 12-foot center southbound HOV lane, two 11-foot southbound general purpose lanes, and a 5-foot planter at the base of a retaining wall. Staff selected the narrow section over the wide section because it minimized private property and critical area impacts without compromising traffic operations.” More information is at http://www.bellevuewa.gov/bellevue-way-hov-lane.htm
